NHS and the Graduation Ceremony
CMCSS requires that graduates may wear only graduation regalia that is awarded
by the high school, school system and/or the State of Tennessee.
This includes any cords, collars, stoles, pins and/or medallions.
Graduates may NOT wear any regalia from paid memberships or affiliations outside of the school system.
This includes any cords, stoles or collars issued by any institution or organization outside of CMCSS.
All graduation regalia must reflect academic achievement during CMCSS high school years.
National Honor Society is approved by CMCSS as an academic honor society and members in good standing
may wear the NHS collar and/or membership pin with their graduation robe.
Honor cords, stoles and medallions are to be worn under the NHS collar.
Honor Cords will be awarded at the Senior Academic Awards held annually in May.
